My sister has been incapacitated. As her soc. sec. rep. am i also liable for her cr. crd. debt? Wht shld I do?
no other family. she has Soc. sec. as her only income. what can i do to get the creditors to stop calling and writing me? will they wipe out te debt?
Rachel…Sorry to hear about your sister. No, they cannot come after you for debts in your sisters name. As far as her credit card debt, they cannot touch her social security either. Ignore the phone calls or just tell them to stop calling. Social security, Disablity income per the government cannot be atttached with a garnishment. Good Luck!!
